Scott Benkert's housing and construction experience began when he was 15 years old and worked as a carpenter's assistant and laborer. He learned carpentry by building new homes, remodeling, and constructing additions for 11 years.

While working, Scott earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Construction from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. In college, he was employed by the University's Facilities Management Department as foreman of construction-related maintenance for campus buildings.

Since graduation, Scott has been employeed by three major commercial construction firms as a project engineer and project manager, gaining an extensive knowledge of building standards. He could never get rid of the residential construction bug and continued doing remodeling and new construction projects in his spare time.

In 1995, Scott decided to return to the residential property industry and became a registered home inspector by receiving training from the American Society of Home Inspectors® Training Institute and NRI schools.

Scott is fully insured and carries general liability and errors and omission insurance to protect his clients.
